TheTAPIR’s Staff Have Hissy Fit at Each Other
Our apologies. We are afraid you have been caught up in a minor spat between our very own Ashley and Imogen. Ashley’s hatred for Smashing Magazine (and in fact, everything) and Imogen’s need to be lovely to everyone have caused a chaotic rift in the offices of TheTAPIR and it has fallen upon myself and the management to try to rectify this tiff. To that extent Ashley and Imogen are now both sitting in the corner until they have thought about what they have done.
As soon as they are both able to apologise to each other and have a cuddle, we expect our normal service of relentless (and potentially career damaging) web celebrity journalism to resume.
John Resig sulks at the BBC

John Resig completely failed to hide his bitterness over BBC Glow as he bitched on Hacker News. After throwing all of his toys out of the pram he whined incessantly until his fanboys stepped in and took over. “It’s just water under the bridge at this point” grumbled Resig.
Leo Laporte tells Mike Arrington: screw you
Leo Laporte today threw a dramatic hissy fit at Mike Arrington on the Gillmor Gang podcast, following Arrington’s suggestion that a free review unit of the Palm Pre may affect Laporte’s review of the product. Some of Laporte’s calm and dignified responses:
- “That’s BS and I’m really pissed off [...]“
- “Mike, you are such a troll. Screw you [...]“
- “I’m not kidding. Screw you, you asshole, screw you.”
And, in case there was any ambiguity:
“I’m throwing you all off. Fuck you guys.”
Mike was clearly in the wrong because, as everyone knows, Leo Laporte is in love with everything – declaring any product with flashing lights to be the most amazing thing ever, regardless of whether or not he has actually used, seen or heard of it. Steve Gillmor (predictably) in following podcasts, tried very hard (and failed) to make the outburst seem like it was in some way related to him. We saved the best for last:
“I’ve had it with Mike Arrington. He is the most trollish person I’ve ever worked with.”
